POLAR BIG BOY SHORTS
When Pontus Alv first released the Polar Big Boy jeans they were initially a slow burner. He had no inkling that his creation, inspired by the jeans he wore in the 90s, would achieve cult status globally. This spacious cut has become the jean of choice for many, and their appeal translates to shorts now some months of sun are imminent. Two new classic colours of the Big Boy short just hit the rails, and they look timeless in dark blue or silver black. Liberate your legs while keeping your favourite denim in play.
DC Championship collection
The DC Championship Collection is now available, a special capsule containing three heritage models in classic colourways. We are stoked to have Stevie Williams’ first pro shoe -the Williams OG - back on the shelf. Originally released in 2001, this signature model draws inspiration from the Air Max 95, and the build is accentuated by this black and red iteration. Accompanying this technically advanced shoe is The Truth OG, Josh Kalis’ second signature shoe for DC which was released the same year as Stevie’s. This long-awaited reissue ticks all the boxes, all the way down to the translucent blue sole unit. Backing up these two pro models is DC’s most popular team shoe of all time The Lynx, in a timeless colourway that is more than a tip of the hat to the La Lakers. Seize this opportunity to skate some shoes from a golden era.

Visuals: Charlie Munro
Charlie Munro is one of the most powerful skateboarders the UK has ever produced, a talented technician with a lunatic eye for what’s possible. He’s also one of the most prolific. This interview was made possible by a momentary lull in his hectic travelling schedule. Find out about an Arto Saari part that has continued to provide inspo since his first video purchase, and a Rob Welsh MK trick that serves as a how-to. Then learn why a Chris Oliver Sidewalk mag cover made such an impact on his young mind long before they became friends, and read about a never-forgotten John Rattray Blueprint graphic. Click through for insights about the visual foundations that inspired one of our favourite rippers.
